World War II began for Russia exactly 60 years ago, on June 22, 1941. A ceremony of laying flowers and wreaths took place Friday, June 22 on St. Petersburg's Piskarevskoye Memorial Cemetery. Hundreds of St. Petersburg war veterans came here to commemorate those who died in the war.
