French and Russian Presidents met in the Concert Hall of the Philharmonic Society.Vladimir Putin and Jaques Chirac visited Jury Temirkanov' orchestra concert and then took part in "The Russian-French Dialogue About Culture: Past, Present, Future " meeting.

The program of Chirac's visit included also the State Hermitage Museum where the Hermitage director Mikhail Piotrovskiy took guests on a tour around the museum. Jaques Chirac and his wife Bernadette visited an exhibition of their countryman there - abstractionist Pierre Soulage also came to St.Petersburg to accompany the president at the exhibition.
