800 years ago an obscure hermit Anthony came to Dimskoje lake. According to a legend he daily came to the stone in the middle of the lake and prayed for several hours. Later a cross was raised here. Now there is a custom to swim and pray around this cross. It is said that bathing in the Saint lake can cure many diseases and illnesses.
