According to the Administration of Saint-Petersburg in 1998 2 733204 tourists, in 1999 - 321168 tourists and in 2000 3 521856 tourists visited the city. The lowest number of visitors was fixed in 199, when only 762143 tourists came to Saint-Petersburg. In average 2 500000 tourists visit the city every year.
