Several English tourists being absolutely naked were taking photos against a Mariinsky Palace background, which is what they were arrested for by Petersburg's vigilant militia officers. Seven London citizens were detained altogether – two girls and five young men of 29-30 years old. Only men were posing naked, their companions acted as photographers. They were accused of hooliganism and were released after paying a fine of 50 rubles.
