Iran Minister of Defense, Admiral Ali Shamkhani is arriving in Moscow on September, 5. During his visit he is going to meeth the RF Minister of Defense Sergei Ivanov, RF Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov, Vladimir Rushailo and "Rosoboronexport" heads.

In St.Petersburg Iran Minister will visit the "Almaz" and "Severnaya Neft" ship-building companies.

Biography of Ali Shamkhani

* 1955 born in the city of Ahvaz, Khuzestan province

* Attained a B.s degree in Agricultural Engineering for the University of Ahvaz; an M.s degree in Military Affairs and an M.a in State Management for the University of State Management Organization

* Currently serves as the Commander of the Naval Forces of the Army, the Islamic Revolution's Guard Corps (IRGC) and of Khatam Ul-anbia Naval Headquarters in the Persian Gulf

* During Iran-Iraq war, Shamkhani held various military posts including the Commander of the IRGC forces in Ahvaz, Khuzestan, Acting Commander of IRGC, Commander of IRGC ground forces, Deputy in Charge of information and operations of the Armed forces headquarters, IRGC Minister and the official in charge of the implementation of the U.N resolution (598) on ending the Iran-Iraq war
