The First St. Petersburg's cookery and service championship started in Mikhaylovsky Manege. Its participants are 36 cooks and 12 confectioners who took the first prizes in district competitions. The winners will make up a combined team which will present St. Petersburg at the II Russia's championship in November. The 4 days cookery marathon will end up with the contest held in honour of the upcoming Petersburg's jubilee, thus called “Dedication to the beloved city”. The audience will see the tables laid in the best city's traditions with the Northern capital's symbolism.
