For more than two years a unique, the first in the world, team of invalids, who play hockey on prosthetic devices, has been existing in St. Petersburg. The prosthetics are produced by the Orthopedy Institute named after Albrecht.

The command “St. Petersburg Elks” consists mainly of former military men – participants of international conflicts and the war in Afghanistan Yesterday there was a competition between a command of St. Petersburg hockey veterans and a combined world team of hockey on prosthetics, which, besides “St. Petersburg Elks”, include hockey-players from the USA, Finland and Estonia.
