A conference of prison Christian pastors has been held in St. Petersburg.

Penal colonies of St. Petersburg and Leningradskaya Oblast cooperate with different religious confessions for more than nine years. That's why it is not accidental that the conference of prison Christian pastors was held in St. Petersburg. The conference discussed historical aspects of Christian prison service, principles of preaching the Gospel in places of liberty deprivation, as well as problems discharged people face with. Reyo Loykkanen, the speaker of the conference, a famous Finnish pastor, who had been sentenced to all-life imprisonment and spent about 30 years in Finnish prisons, is more than others familiar with difficulties of life in jail and that is why he always knows how to help people, who have committed a crime, but desire to return to normal life.
