The Russian traveller Grigory Kubatjan, hitch-hiking from St. Petersburg to Australia, has reached Jakarta.
Grigory Kubatjan, a full member of the Russian Geographical Society, stopped in Jakarta – the capital of Indonesia – for several days. Having started in 2001 in St. Petersburg, the 24-year Russian traveller crossed the whole Russia by hitching, went through Mongolia, China, Laos, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore. Then on crossing the strait by ferry the Russian landed on Indonesian Sumatra Ireland and having reached its south end got to Java Ireland, to Jakarta.
