The International Festival of Ice Sculpture has started

one of the sculptures 15 teams, each consisting of three people, take part in the festival. Russian sculptors, as well as German, Austrian, Finish, Netherlands, Irish, French masters, present their creations. The festival will last till February 2, when the results will be announced and the best works chosen.

Such festivals are very popular all over the world, however, in our city the project is realized for the first time. Meanwhile, it was Russia to construct the famous Ice Palace in 1740. The palace was build between the Winter Palace and Admiralty, after the project of Peter Eropkin by the order of Empress Anna Ioannovna.
