The main element of the decoration will be a round stage 50m in diameter mounted on pontoons between the Hermitage and the Peter and Paul Fortress. Here a solemn part of the festival and theatrical performance “Elections of the “Neva Tzarina” will be held. The audience will be able to watch the action from embankments and bridges, as well as view enlarged images on big screens. The water performance will be concluded by the parade of sailers and yachts. Multiple fountains will gush out along the bridges decorated with naval signs. The stage itself will become a huge fountain, and the sky will be lit up with colourful fireworks.
The first rehearsals will be held this summer.
