A.N. Chilingarov, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma, hero of the Soviet Union, attended this event, along with heads of nine ministries and departments of Russia, companies of mining industry (Lukoil, Gazprom), honoured polar explorers.
In the network of the meeting, festive activities dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the beginning of Arctic exploration by floating stations “The North Pole” (“Severny Polus”) will be also held, and the exhibition dedicated to the new technologies in hydrometeorological support opened.
