More than 900 invitations have already been sent out to various commercial and financial organisations and to many regional officials. 23 international organisations have already confirmed their participation.
According to Mironov, the last five forums have made more than 4,000 investment projects possible. 'We are extremely hopeful about this forum too, especially because we have been trying to make it as business-intensive as possible,' he said. The forum is expected to bring together Minister of Finance Alexei Kudrin, Chairman of United Energy Systems Anatoly Chubais and Minister of Economic Development and Trade German Gref. EBRD Chairman Jean Lemierre is also likely to come. The Federation Council Speaker noted that this forum's best feature is its being 'absolutely non-political'. | |
