In Saint Petersburg it is necessary to develop new directions of tourism: business and elite. It was declared on Monday by vice-president of the Russian Association of travel agencies (RATA) Sergey Korneev, on a round table about problems of development of tourism which was held in Saint Petersburg in the framework of the World congress of women-businessmen.
In Sergey Korneev’s opinion, business tourism - comparative new direction for Saint Petersburg - "can get the big development, because there are a lot of palaces in city which are easily modernized in the congress centres". He considers, that realization of the congresses and business actions will help to busy hotels not in a peak season, for example, in an autumn. The entertainment infrastructure can promote development of elite tourism, which, according to Sergey Korneev’s words, "appears cheaper in comparison with the same others".
