The Governor of St. Petersburg Vladimir Yakovlev congratulated the citizens of St. Petersburg with New Year.

In his address to Petersburgers Vladimir Yakovlev noted that New Year always was the most wonderful and cheerful holiday related to awaitening of miracle.

“When grown up people understand that one has to make the miracle with his own hands, which also relates to the life of the city. Our city got brighter lately, one can see and admire its restored monuments, houses, bridges and embankments”, he said. According to Governor, St. Petersburg approaches its jubilee renewed. Vladimir Yakovlev noted that these changes of the city is miracle which we ourselves have done.

The Governor wishes that all Petersburgers receive real and sincere joy from the jubilee and that this holiday be memorized. “Let happiness and joy come to our homes with the New 2003 Year. I wish health, kindness and well-being to each family”, the Governor said.
