Russia’s first International Maritime Defense Show 2003 will take place in Lenexpo Exhibition Complex on 25-29 June. The Show will present its exhibitions in five Lenexpo pavilions. Military ships and naval aircraft will be displayed in Lenexpo, Rzhevka training ground and Pushkin airfield. Visitors will see 4 naval artillery systems, 10 Russian ships and 2 ships built in St. Petersburg and Kaliningrad for India and Germany. The program includes demonstration flights of Strizhi and Russian Vityazi pilots; military ships will show their capacity. Along with conferences and fora of ship-building leaders, participants will visit shipyards. “This show is unique, because the entire naval engineering chain will be demonstrated, from design to application in battle,” said the General Director of ZAO Voenno-morskoy salon.
One third of 247 Russian companies which will take part in the International Maritime Defense Show are based in St. Petersburg. 30 naval delegations from Bulgaria, Italy, Germany, Kuwait, Poland, US, Turkey, France, Japan, Switzerland, Montenegro and other countries will visit the event. The Show will be held once in two years.
