St. Petersburg Governor Vladimir Yakovlev has been appointed Vice Premier Minister for Construction and Housing. President Vladimir Putin read the corresponding order at the government council meeting in St. Petersburg today.

Putin said that 'the Governor has done many positive things in the sphere of developing the city's infrastructure.
