The Prince of Wales is to visit St. Petersburg on July 13-16. According to the British embassy in Russia, the visit is devoted to the 300th anniversary of St. Petersburg and the 450th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Britain and Russia.
The prince plans to visit the Solovki Islands and take part in a ceremony to hand over the Adventure training yacht, a gift from Britain to the Russian Navy. The gift is intended to serve as a symbol of cooperation between the British and Russian navies. The prince is also expected to visit the Peter and Paul Fortress, Peterhof and the Menshikov Palace.
The prince is also planning to visit the Alexander centre and the Early Interference Centre, which help victims of domestic violence and the parents of "alternatively gifted' children.
