The yacht’s crew includes 16 sportsmen from 9 countries. The race across the Baltic Sea will take place in 1-3 September, the yacht kicks off in Helsinki and finishes in St. Petersburg. According to Konyukhov’s press-centre “Bols” can sail at 40 knots speed. The invitation from the yacht’s owner testifies to Russia’s world recognition as a yacht power.
Fyodor has got 3 world records in the crossing of the Atlantic Ocean. Aboard his catamaran-giant “Alye Parusa” he sailed across the Atlantic toward west-east direction and for 16 days sailed back. At the rowing boat “Uralaz” he sailed across the Atlantic Ocean for 46 days. From Helsinki to St. Petersburg Konyukhov intends to sailed with the crew of “Bols” less that for 24 hours, reported ITAR-TASS.
