A US-Russian school called New methods of diagnosis and treatment for malignant growths in children will open in early September at the Saint Petersburg cytology research institute. The school will aim to teach child cancer specialists and hematologists about new methods of diagnosis and treatment for malignant growths in children. Russian specialists will also exchange their expertise with American doctors.
Leading child cancer specialists from the Saint Judas research hospital in Memphis will take part at the meetings and they will also meet the children currently undergoing treatment at city hospital no. 31.
This is the first time such an event has taken place in Russia. The event is being organised by the Russian Health Ministry, the M3 child hematology research institute, the cytology research institute of the Russian Sciences Academy and the Saint Judas research hospital from Memphis, US.
