Moscow inflation was 0.4% in Sept. vs. 0.3% average for Russia, according to the State Statistics Committee. St. Petersburg prices were up 0.9%.

The prices rose 8.5% in Moscow and 9.3% St. Petersburg vs. 8.6% Russia's average in Jan.-September.

Moscow min. food basket reached 1,333.5 rbl, 6% dn in September and 4.7% up from early this year. St. Petersburg indicator equalled 1,173.5 rbl, 0.6% dn in September and 7% up from early this year.
