Head of National Documents and Library Organization Kazem Mousavi-Bojnourdi in separate meetings with the heads of Russia's National Library and Government Archive of Russian History in Saint Petersburg on Monday discussed the prospect of cooperation on documents and libraries.

At the meetings, the two sides exchanged views on the exchange of books and magazines between the Iranian and Russian libraries as well as holding fairs and specialized meetings by the national libraries of both states.

Mousavi-Bojnourdi and the Russian library authorities also held talks on indexing Iranian and Russian documents and their publication as well as holding fairs on documents.

In a meeting with a number of Iranologists from the Saint Petersburg branch of the Orientology Institute of Russia's academy of sciences, Mousavi-Bojnourdi briefed them on the activities of Iranian libraries and documentation centers.

Turning to the tasks and activities of Iran's national documents and library organization and the Islamic Encyclopedia Center, he also discussed the prospects of scientific cooperation between Iranian and Russian intellectuals with Russian Orientologists.
