Saint Petersburg will soon be home to a Finnish industrial park. During her recent visit to Helsinki, Governor Valentina Matviyenko proposed the idea of an industrial park to Finnish big business leaders. She said the goal of the park would be to develop high technology production as well as approbation and realization of innovative ideas in different branches of industry.
The governor's press service said that representatives of Finnish business expressed their readiness to offer their proposals to realize the industrial park. They also informed the governor of completed projects and perspectives for further developing Finnish business in Saint Petersburg. Finnish business leaders included representatives from Neste, Fazer, Sonar, Finn Air and others. Saint Petersburg City Investment Committee Director Andrei Mikhailenko is coordinating the city's cooperation with Finnish business.
