Private companies are about to finance a program for illumination of buildings on Nevsky Prospect.
The Governor of St. Petersburg Valentina Matvienko charged the Vice-Governor Oleg Virolainen with the task of finding potential financing to light up the buildings on Nevsky Prospect at the expense of enterprises.
In 2004 there are plans to design a project to illuminate Nevsky Prospect in between the Admiralty and Vosstaniya Square. Having been specially amended, the city budget allocated 20 million rubles for the project. To carry it out there will be a tender in June 2004 to choose a contractor.
