21st International Conference Women Who Change The World to begin in St Petersburg

women_conference The goals of the conference are to promote the advance of women in all spheres of social and professional life of society, to establish and develop closer personal, political and business contacts of female bosses, and to outline ways and methods of attaining social stability.

About 350 delegates from Sweden, Finland, China, Japan, Singapore, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Malaysia have come here for the conference. They will hold discussions and section meetings on issues of innovative financing of female businesses, the role of women in politics and business, and their influence on changes in these spheres.

The agenda of the conference also includes a fair Female Project, held to spotlight the possibilities and achievements of female businesses and to promote the exchange of experience and development of business cooperation.

A new project of the international commercial partnership Weran devoted to the memory of Swedish Prime Minister Anna Lindh will be held as part of the conference. Its business agenda also includes a meeting of representatives of sister cities of the Baltic region and a session of the organising committee of the 2005 conference, Women and Democracy.

The conference will last three days.
