The promising Neva space platform for 100 kg to 500 kg small-size satellites will be built at the Arsenal plant in St. Petersburg, Roskosmos head Anatoly Perminov decided during a working trip to the city.
"It may take up to 3.5 years to manufacture the space platform," he said.
Perminov is scheduled to visit the Petersburg subsidiary of the Kometa Central Scientific-Research Institute to meet with the enterprise's managers, estimate the plant's state and assess the development prospects of Russia's rocket industry.
