peace_park There will be a fountain with a pigeon in the center of the park. The busts of Nobel Prize Winners will be installed along the perimeter, said Alexander Pelevin, head of the Okhta Public Foundation which spearheaded the project. State-run Vodokanal St. Petersburg has undertaken to build up and maintain the fountain for its own account.

The park will also have a Peace Tower, model City Hall of Oslo, where the Nobel Prize is awarded, model premises of the UN General Assembly. It will be divided into eight parts according to the G8 number. Each country may arrange its own exposition, develop the area to its own liking and carry out its own programs in the pavilions, Pelevin specified, saying they hope to raise funds with UN and G8 countries and derive some money in time of the park’s operation.
