representatives office of the Belarusian chamber of commerce and industry for the North-Western Federal District of the Russian Federation has opened in St. Petersburg within the frames of the program on promotion of trade-economic cooperation between the two countries, BelTA has been told in the embassy of Belarus to Russia.

The representative office is set to promote mutually beneficial cooperation between companies of the two countries, expand export potential of Belarusian producers, increase mutual trade and attract Russian investment in Belarus.

To analyze the state of affairs in the Belarus-Russia production and trade relations the representative office has started polling Belarusian companies. The results of the poll will underpin a program of action that would satisfy the urgent needs of Belarusian commodity producers.
