Wine Cellar Upgrade

The Konstantinovsky Palace, the official presidential residence near St. Petersburg, is spending 8 million rubles ($325,000) on its wine cellar.

Bottles of highly-priced vintage Chateau O’Brien, Chateau Angelus, Saint Emilion Grand Cru AOC, Chateau Figeac, and other wines will be purchased for the cellar. A bottle of 1986 Chateau O’Brien costs 300,000 rubles ($12,000).

Meanwhile, more moderately priced drinks such as Sovietskoye Champagne and Putinka vodka will also be stocked.
