This year, more than 40 museums, galleries, exhibition halls and libraries will open doors to show the most interesting of their collections.

Part of museums has prepared a program for the evening (from 06.00pm till 11.00pm) for those who expects to catch the subway. Everyone who is willing to have a long night walk in Petersburg, will visit the night program (from 09.00pm to 06.00am).

We must note that the "Night of Museums" - is an annual event dedicated to the International Day of Museums. The action takes place simultaneously in 42 countries in Europe, involving nearly 2 thousand museums. In 2008 year 33 city museums and exhibition halls have taken more than 24 thousand midnight visitors.

As in 2008, the museums will concern and work together during the campaign on a single ticket. A single ticket "Night of Museums 2009" enable you to enter the 25 museums in the evening and night programs and free travel on buses of the campaign. Free shuttle service between the participating museums will be organized after the end of the city public transport (from 07.00pm till 06.00am). Single ticket price is 250 rubles.
