Sunday evening many of St. Petersburg citizens spend their time on the beach of Peter and Paul Fortress. People watched the second race of the Grand Prix 2009 "Formula 1", also swam and sunbathed there.

Yesterday in St. Petersburg was started the World Cup stage of the water "Formula 1". The first round of the competition was held in the waters of the Neva near the Peter and Paul Fortress.

Top-class pilots who have licensed the International Union for the water-motor sports (UIM) took part in these competitions. The tournament, which was held in the Northern capital of Russia, is the final stage of World Cup.
