Verkhovna Rada Chairman Volodymyr Lytvyn on May 15-16 is scheduled to visit Saint Petersburg (Russia), the parliament's press office reported on Thursday. The Ukrainian Speaker is due to participate in the plenary session of the Interparliamentary Assembly of CIS Member States. He is expected to meet Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russian Federation Sergey Mironov, Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Boris Gryzlov, Chairman of the Council of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Anatoly Rubinov, Chairman of the Moldovan parliament Marian Lupu, Chairman of the Kazakh Majlis Ural Mukhamedzhanov. Additionally, Mr Lytvyn is due to deliver a speech at the International Scientific Conference on the 65th Anniversary of the Nuremberg Trials, and at events to mark the 150th anniversary of the transfer of ashes of Taras Shevchenko from St. Petersburg to Kaniv. He will also take part in a rally-requiem and memorial service at the Smolensk cemetery and a memorial evening at the Tauride Palace.
