W Hotels Worldwide has opened its first hotel in Russia, the W St. Petersburg, in the city of Petersburg.Designed by Milan-based Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel Partners, the building incorporates a contemporary look with 137 guest rooms including 10 suites and one Extreme WOW Suite. All the rooms are equipped with custom-made furnishings. Resembling the design of Fabergé Egg, the hotel opens up in layers as one enters the facility.
The hotel features a futuristic interior that is focused on colour, light, texture and comfort. The interiors are designed to reflect the vibrancy and glamour of the city's iconic architecture.
Other features of the structure include the signature restaurant miX, a signature spa comprising an indoor pool as well as a rooftop lounge and bar by Alain Ducasse. The facility also features a fully-powered SWEAT Fitness Centre fitted with Technogym exercise equipment.
