Verkhovna Rada Chairman Volodymyr Rybak arrived in St. Petersburg, Russia on Thursday to attend a session of the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly. According to the parliament's press service, Rybak is expected to speak at an international parliamentary conference on the role of parliaments in building Europe without division lines. During his two-day visit to St. Petersburg, Rybak is also expected to meet with Russian Duma Speaker Sergey Naryshkin, Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko, and Kazakh Mejlis speaker Nurlan Nigmatulin. On Friday members of the official delegation led by Rybak will attend a flower-laying ceremony at the monument to the great Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko in St. Petersburg.
