Belarus-Russia oil trade discussed in Saint Petersburg

Prime Minister of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich and Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev have discussed matters concerning oil deliveries till the end of the year and in 2014. The meeting took place within the framework of the session of the CIS Heads of Government Council in Saint Petersburg on 20 November.
Mikhail Myasnikovich said: “We have agreed that the Russian side will soon complete the intrastate procedures to prolong the norms of the agreement on distributing export duties on oil products into 2014”.
Mikhail Myasnikovich remarked he had discussed a wide range of matters concerning bilateral cooperation with his Russian counterpart. In particular, the sides agreed on holding a session of the Union State Council of Ministers this year.
The Belarusian head of government remarked that the sides had reached a principal agreement on the mechanism to collect the recycling fee on terms, which are acceptable for Belarus.
The heads of government also discussed other matters concerning future work on integration projects.
According to Mikhail Myasnikovich, the meeting added confidence to matters concerning the development of the bilateral relations. Approaches that will benefit Belarus and Russia were found as part of the talks.
We reported earlier that Prime Minister of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich visited Saint Petersburg on 20 November. As part of the visit Mikhail Myasnikovich took part in a session of the Heads of Government Council of the Commonwealth of Independent States. The Belarus Prime Minister also held negotiations with Armenia Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan.
