On May 27 St. Petersburg celebrates the 313th anniversary from the date of the basis. In honour of this event on a main square of the city there has taken place a concerted "The classic on Palace" in which stars of the opera and the ballet have taken part.
Before a concert of the audience the governor Georgy Poltavchenko and the chairman of Legislative Assembly Vyacheslav Makarov welcomed.
Georgy Poltavchenko has congratulated all on the 313th anniversary of St. Petersburg.
"In the world there are many cities – big, beautiful, ancient and modern, but such as St. Petersburg, never was and won't be. From the first day of the existence he has rushed into world history as the hero town, the city toiler, the city seaman, the city scientist, the city museum. We love our city and we are proud of it", - the governor has told. Georgy Poltavchenko has thanked all actors participating in a concert. "Our city – the most beautiful scenery for eternal classical works. We are waited by a surprising show", - the governor has told.
At Palace Square the honoured actress of Russia Anna Netrebko, the soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia, Yusif Eyvazov, the people's artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the soloist of the Maryinsky Theater Ildar Abdrazakov, the Russian opera star with a world name Olga Peretyatko, the soloist of New Opera Theater Vasily Lady UK and others have acted.
The choreographic art has been presented by Ballet Theater by Konstantin Tachkin, the St. Petersburg state academic ballet theatre of Leonid Jacobson, unique theatre "The Wandering Mister Pezho's Dolls". Also fragments from masterpieces of world choreographic art have executed premieres of the Berlin state ballet Dina Tamazlakara and the prima ballerina of the ballet troupe of the Berlin state opera Yana Salenko.
