New film project by famous Russian director.

Photo by Yu. Belinsky, ITAR-TASS. A unique cinema project has been presented by director Aleksandr Sokurov in State Hermitage Museum. The project, titled "Waterloo", is a full-size fictional-documentary film shot on panorama camera in the museum's halls. The film will be shot with the use of newest SONY video technology. The material will then be carried over to 35 mm film. Tilman Buettner from Germany will be the film's lead operator. The Russian Tsars' courts will be seen in the Winter Palace's magnificient halls, several hundreds of people will dance to the music of an orchestra. A few thousands of people will participate in the film's shooting that will last only one day. The viewer will witness the events of several centuries. Photo of A.
