The legendary band from St. Petersburg, Russia will kick off 11-concert 8-city tour with a show in New York on September 13, 2001. Concerts will also take place in Washington D.C., Montana, Los Angeles, San Fransisco and Boston. The tour will feature recently composed songs, which will be performed in the US for the first time, along with the old classics. Producers are considering a possibility of Alexey Hvostenko, the collaborator on such albums as "Mountaintop Dweller" and "Teapot of Wine", to join Auktyon in Boston and New York concerts.
After a spectacular performance last year at the NXNW festival in Portland, Oregon, Auktyon have received excellent reviews in the local press, as well as tour and recording proposals. The 4 concerts in Montana will be the first time Auktyon have worked with an American promoter. This tour will differ from the last one mainly in the newly composed songs. This summer the entire band held multiple sessions at different stages, as they worked on a new material. The rehearsals are taking place even now, as the musicians are getting ready for the three-week US tour.
Tickets to all concerts can be purchased directly at the band's website:
