M. Musorgsky Opera and Ballet Theatre will open its 85th season with "Boris Godunov" opera. The audience will see a premier of Prokofyev's "Cinderella" ballet already in October. The theatre will go touring to Japan in November. They will start with Puccini's "Floria Tosca", "Nutcracker", "Sleeping Beauty", "Don Quixote", "Gisele". Besides, the theatre's orchestra concerts under Andrey Anikhanov's conduction are planned. Stanislav Gaudasinsky, the theatre's stage director, is preparing to premier Rimsky-Korsakov's opera "The tzar's bride" in March.
The season will be finish with the opera troupe tour in the city of Heilbronn. The German auditorium will see a "Don Juan" performance, which was staged in the Musorgsky theatre by a German director Klaus Vagner.
