Museum of Gavriil Derjavin will be open at 118, Fontanka, where the poet once lived. According to Sergey Nekrasov, director of Pushkin State museum, so far there has been no museum dedicated to “brilliant pre-Pushkin literature” in our city. It is planned to open Derjavin Museum in May 2003, and its first visitors will probably be Pushkin's descendants who have already expressed a wish to come at St. Petersburg's jubilee.
