“Tovstonogov Prize – For outstanding contribution into the theatre art development”, instituted this year, is to be given to Petr Fomenko, director of Moscow theatre “Petr Fomenko’s Studio”.

According to deputy chairman of the St. Petersburg’s Union of theatre figures Larissa Novikova, Tovstonogov prize won’t be given to Petersburgers alone. “We believe that the prize is much more significant, and maybe next year the winner will be from other state, as it must be a very important figure in the world theater”, - she marked.
