The exhibition "The Russian Portrait: XX century" opened in the State Russian Museum. The conception of such exhibitions was invented by Sergey Diagilev at the beginning of XX century.

The exposition in the State Russian Museum includes 300 canvases and sculptures. The events of the XX century are reflected in differend trends of art - from realism to pop-art.

While watching the pieces of art the visitors see their own portraits in built-in mirrors.
