The IV International Festival “The Spanish Evenings” will be held in St. Petersburg on November 13-22.
The orchestra of the State Hermitage “St. Petersburg Camerata”, the St. Petersburg symphonic orchestra, Spanish and Russian performers are to take part in the festival of Spanish music. Music of Latin American authors will be included into one of the Festival concerts this year. Besides, some world first-nights are planned in the network of the concert program ; two orchestras and chorus of the Smolny Cathedral will participate for the first time.
The Festival of Spanish music has been held in St. Petersburg annually since 1998. The initiator and author of the Festival is a conductor Alexis Soriano, one of the most prominent Spanish conductors.
