180-year anniversary since Fedor Dostoyevsky’s birthday is being celebrated now in St. Petersburg. The 26-th international readings “Dostoevskiy and the World Culture” are dedicated to this jubilee along with a number of exhibitions opened in the city museums.
The exhibition dedicated to 180-year anniversary since the great Pussian writer's birthday opened in the St. Petersburg museum of city sculpture.
The exposition displays more than 60 works of sculpture, graphics, books from the museum's funds. They present both an image of the writer himself and his predecessors and successors in Russian literature. You can see sculptural portraits of the writer as well as drawings and gouache paintings connected with his name. The exposition is also supplemented with books containing illustrations to the writer's works.
