Moscow artists are reviving traditions of realistic painting

Painting by P. Petrov - a Moscow artist The exhibition presents more than 150 works of realistic painting by eight famous Moscow artists, whose works are already stored in collections of many Russian museums, including the State Russian Museum, the Tretjakov Gallery and the Russian Academy of Arts.

The goal of the project is to present last decade’s painters, who work in the classical genre.

The exhibition was initiated by the Vologda Picture-Gallery. The exhibition has been already demonstrated in Vologda and Yaroslavl in 2001; in 2003 it will be shown in Moscow.

The exhibition lasts till March 10.
