This is the competition for 35 best works to be presented at the international festival “Europastel”, which will be held in Italy in October 2002. Then these works will be shown in St. Petersburg, at the exhibition dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the city, in February-March 2003.

The project “Europastel” includes two large-scale events:

- exhibition of pastels of all genres and styles (about 500 works) in Italy and Petersburg in the St. Petersburg Union of Artists;

- thematic exhibition (120 works) to be held in Italy and then in the State Museum of St. Petersburg History (the Rumyantsev Mansion).

The present exhibition-competition lasts till April 8.
