Today, in Peter-and-Paul fortress, starts international festival of sand culture. The theme is “Peak Hour” which means covering problems of a big city and modern life. 15 foreign teams from Check Republic, NLs, Finland, Italy, Sweden, Latvia, Ukraine will be at work there. Two St. Petersburg teams will be on part of Russia together with sculptors from Petrozavodsk, Korgopol’, Arkhangelsk, Yakutia.
Jury consists of art masters of St. Petersburg, city administration and consuls-general of countries the members and captains of teams members.
A separate sculpture will be created by the former festivals winners Check citizens Frantishek and Joseph Balek, Lubosh Khusak.
Sand masterpieces will be open for access after winners are choisen prized and till the end of July.
