On Wednesday and Thursday on stage of the Mariinsky theatre the last premiere of this season - opera of Peter Il'ich Tchajkovsky "Eugeny Onegin" is held.

"Eugeny Onegin" was planned by Tchajkovsky in the "chamber" style, without " shine and showiness ", this has induced the composer to name an opera " lyrical stages ". He started to work of the opera in spring ,1877 in Moscow, and has finished it January, 13, 1878 in Italy.

During its existence the Mariinsky theatre repeatedly addressed to masterpiece of Tcajkovsky. Last on time premiere, put under the direction of Jury Temirkanova, was held in 1982 and was on a stage about 20 years.
