In September the Petersburg museum of cinema will present the new regular program "Film-encyclopedia". It is supposed, that it will acquaint the spectator with cinematography, being based on the historical periods and the theory of cinema, continuing cultural traditions of Saint Petersburg. From September, 23 till September, 30 in the film-centre "Rodina"(Native-land) demonstration of films of 1980s will be held. Among them two nostalgic films about magic of the screen: "Cinema"Paradizo" (Juzeppe Tornatore) and "Purple rose of Cairo " (Woody Allen), and also two dramas: "Legend about Narajama"(Sohej Immamura) and "Ragtime" (Milosh Forman). Besides in the program of demonstration there is "Blue chasm" (Luc Besson).

Since new year in "Film-encyclopedia" there will appear the heading "the one tenth" with which help the Museum of Cinema monthly hopes to represent on the screen reviews of decades of cinema century.
